About the Book

Education in India is undergoing a paradigm shift, driven by the foundational principles of the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE) 2023. The book, based on NCFSE 2023 document, provides framework’s core vision, underlying philosophies, and pedagogical implications. By examining pivotal themes—including competency-based curricula, holistic developmental frameworks, systematic assessment reforms, experiential learning methodologies, and the integration of Indian Knowledge Systems —the text elucidates the systemic ideas redefining contemporary schooling. Ultimately, this work serves as a resource for understanding how the NCFSE 2023 restructures teaching, learning, and evaluative practices to satisfy the evolving demands of 21st-century education.

NCFSE 2023 is an essential resource for teachers, teacher educators, school leaders, researchers and students of education.
