The study of education-polity relationship is a new and neglected area of research, particularly in India. Ehsanul Haq is an Associate Professor at the Centre for the Study of Social Systems, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He is M.A. from Aligarh Muslim University, and M.Phil and Ph.D from Jawaharlal Nehru University. His main area of specialization is Sociology of Education.
